However, you don’t need the beginning of a new year, month or even a Monday when it comes to taking action on your dreams and goals because …
Today is the best day to begin fresh!
Even though there is a little extra energy at the beginning of the year that makes it easier to make changes in our lives, the real secret to achieving your goals is found in reflection. The real power for change is found in taking the time to look back and journal about your successes + the lessons learned.
One of my favourite quotes about making changes is from Dr Phil, “You can’t change what you don’t acknowledge”.
I’m using the Classic Planner for Begin Fresh with a splash of paint, washi tape and word stickers.
Over these next seven days you’ll collect helpful information to uncover what’s working and what needs improving as you reflect and work through the prompts. When you’ve finished the exercises you’ll have what you need to connect the dots from where you are to where you want to be.
You’ll be able to make a plan that helps you take action and achieve your goals.
I know that if you put in the effort planning your days will be so much easier. You’ll see momentum build as you know exactly what to focus on and you’ll be amazed at your progress. It’ll only be a matter of time before you’re celebrating your success.
Over the next seven days I’ll share exercises and prompts to help you uncover what’s already working so you can do more of it and what needs improving, so you can make a plan to get from where you are to where you want to be.
Day 1 :: Count Your Blessings
Grab yourself a cuppa and get comfortable with your journal and pen as you take some time to reflect on how things are right now from a place of gratitude.
Today is all about counting your blessings, see the good and acknowledge the amazing things you did in 2017.
Psalm 100 verse 4 tells us we enter with thanksgiving. It’s the best way to start each new day. And so there’s no better way to begin the new year than by counting our blessings.
I’ll share my answers tomorrow along with the next set of prompts for you to discover what you could improve in this coming year.
